We work directly with universities to rescue the materials of historic campus buildings, and craft them into handmade heirlooms an alum can hold for a lifetime.
Handmade in limited editions · Each piece numbered & documented
Every campus has buildings that outlast the students who pass through them. The library where you studied for finals. The hall where you met your closest friends. Built to last, of old brick and stone cut by hand. Then its time passes, the space is needed for something new, and the craftsmanship that took years to build is gone.
Working directly with universities, we rescue wood, brick, glass, and stone from historic buildings before demolition takes them for good.
In the tradition of fine architectural craft, each piece is cut, turned, and finished individually. No two are alike, because no two pieces of century-old material ever are.
Every heirloom is numbered and ships with a certificate of authenticity documenting the building, its era, and its story, so the object continues the building's life rather than ending it.
Patera Studio partners with universities to give the materials of their historic buildings a meaningful second life: a way to honor a building's legacy, re-engage alumni, and generate advancement revenue without capital outlay.
If your campus has a historic building slated for demolition or renovation, we'd love to talk.
